Risk on the World Wide Web

There is a lot of interest in playing Risk over a network. Hasbro offered a an extremely pretty, but annoying multi-player experience. However, many hanker for a straight port of the board game to a network enabled application.

Here are offerings that I've been made aware of and that still appear to be up and running:

GLOBAL COMBAT

GLOBAL COMBAT....is a Risk like web based game in which turns are taken simultaneously.

'The game has a very natural playing pattern which is rich in strategic options as well as tactical battles. Since it is played over the internet, actions are hidden from your enemies until the turn runs.'

Land Grab

Land Grab....is an online browser based world domination strategy game.  It's very similar to Hasbro's Risk*.  If you've played Risk, you'll probably know how to play LandGrab..
